The 1st Grand Convocation Ceremony of Himalayan University was Highly Enlightening and Motivating with Gracious Presence of Many August Dignitaries

On 22nd December 2017, visionary and prestigious Himalayan University of Itanagar (Arunachal Pradesh), which is considered as one of the fastest progressing and top universities in the north-east India, celebrated its 1st grand convocation ceremony with great enthusiasm and punctilious responsibility. There was earnest and solemn presence of its all concerned qualified students and professionals (pertaining to various educational and professional disciplines/streams) along with its other students in formal dresses, on its affluent campus at Jollang. The glorious ceremony was made very exalting, inspiring, and constructive through awesome and blessing presence of many august guests and dignitaries mentioned below.

List of Guests & Dignitaries:

1. The Chief Guest at the magnificent convocation was Hon'ble Swami Vishweshananda, RK Mission Hospital Secretary.

2. The Convocation was blessed with a Special Address by Hon'ble Shri Ravinder Sathe (Executive Director, Rambhau Mhalgi Probodhini), as the Guest of Honor.

3. Convocation Ceremony was Presided over by its Hon'ble Chancellor Shri P. Subba Rao.

4. Hon'ble Vice Chancellor Prof (Dr.) Shri S. P. Singh.

5. Hon'ble Tani Loffa (Ex-MLA, and BJP Leader).

6. Hon'ble Chairman, Himalayan University, Shri Hemant Goyal.

One of the main and ultimate aims of the Convocation was to duly appreciate and motivate the qualified students and professionals (belonging to diverse educational and professional streams) and wish each of them a very successful and creative career in the field concerned. The Gold Medals went to the following six students --- Lama Yangki; Dawa Drema Maney; Marpi Dulom; Taglo Murtem; Kasem Moyong; and Kenya Kadu. Addressing the ceremony as the chief guest Shri Swami Vishweshananda informed and motivated the students saying that "Graduation is not the end, but the beginning of a lifelong learning process. The awarded students are just stepping into the next phase of their life". And, while delivering the special address, Shri Ravinder Sathe enlightened the students that "Educational Degrees can help and be useful only when education can be spread for the welfare of the society".
